I don't think right now its the right timing for Ye Yu to lose this fight because they will also kill him, but I won't be too surprised if he does lose the fight but can somehow escape with his life.

Its not like it hasn't happened before. Su sixiang had beaten Ye Yu in a fight before and has always stood ahead of him and been a good rival and almost "frenemy" - I was surprised they could let the mc lose the fight, but I had more respect for the story at that point when they did. It just made it seem as if the mc was not too op like every other story and as a consequence Ye Yu had to try harder to improve.
